I am so glad that Fall is here! I literally feel like celebrating or having a party! This is my favorite season and has the best holidays too. The colors are beautiful, think of the changing of the trees. Thank You God for giving us this season, and of course Spring, Summer and Winter too. I know there is a purpose for each.
We are painting our house, the inside that is. Well, my daughter, Taylor is doing the painting for us. She is an excellent painter and we were going to hire this job out, so we hired her. I am so glad to have a new color in our living/dining room. The color is Sherwin Williams Agreeable Grey. The last color we had up was a moss green, so this is really just about the opposite. We have lived in our house for 23 years and the green was up probably 10 of those. TOO LONG!!! The color is looking great though.
We bought a new sofa and it is being shipped as I type this. It is a slipcovered sofa from Club Furniture. After looking for a sofa for a year, they seemed to have the best made for the best price, and you can't beat the shipping price. I will let you know if it meets my expectations, I am sure it will. Can't wait to get that here and see our house come together. I will put pictures up soon.
In the mean time, enjoy this time of the year! Enjoy the time you have with your children, even if it is running to football practice, twirling, or majorette practice. I would give anything to do that again. Every Friday night I think about the years of watching my son, Aaron play football, and Taylor twirling at half-time. It was a wonderful time, and now is too, just in a different way!

God Bless,
Daphne

I am getting so tired of this heat! I know that I cannot be the only one that is ready for fall. Cool weather, pumpkins, football games, holidays, and everything else great about fall! I know a lot of children went back to school today. That is an exciting time for some. All the new clothes and the new classes. My nephew started third grade today and I heard he has a great new teacher. My children are both still in college. My son changed his major half way, which was just fine with us. He is in nursing school, with just a year left, and then he will be going back to school to be a CRNA. We just want our children to be happy in their career choice. Our daughter is half way through now. She has had 3 years of medical problems, but after two stints put in her brain, we are finally getting a handle on her headaches. She will be a surgical technician, or surg tech.
Today was a beautiful day. Thank you Lord for today and our children. Make us also good teachers for our children. Be blessed everyone, have a great week and stay cool!!!

Well hello everyone!
It has been a while since I have checked in. This is because, after going for my yearly mammogram, they found a mass. Yes I was scared and nervous, but I was also keeping good thoughts. After two different biopsy's, it was determined that the mass had to come out. Once they took it out and sent it off, they could determine what the next step would be.
During a time like this, days seem like weeks and weeks seem like months.
When the lab results came back, they said the mass was pre-cancerous!!! Yeah!!! So all went as good as it could have. No chemo, medicines, etc. I will have another mammogram at 6 months just to make sure everything still looks good. The doctor did say my chances of getting breast cancer have gone way up now.
My goal now is to live as healthy as I can. I do not want to leave my family anytime soon. The whole time while I have been going through this, the only thing I kept thinking was about leaving my family. I want to see my daughter finish college, get married, have children, grow old. I want to see my son and his wife have children. I want to see my son become a CRNA. And I want to grow old with my husband. We have plans for the future and I just knew that he would be doing everything without me.
But.... Everything turned out well!!! Thank You God! You were with me every step, I love You!

Ok everyone, this is the cross stitch! Nothing very special but I think my mother liked it for Mother's Day. She has a little Chihuahua, and she is as spoiled as my little Chihuahua used to be.
I like to cross stitch, but I also like to quilt, and do other crafts that I find on Pinterest. Next is to get my craft room cleaned so it will be easier to do crafts. My little 'heaven on earth'!!!

Goodnight again,

Daphne

This is my latest project! My daughter and I wallpapered a wall with hymns! I think it looks beautiful! After that I added pictures that my daughter-in-law made me for Christmas. Two of the pictures are of me and my husband, one of my kids, and then two of our most special pets that aren't with us anymore. I like the saying that is in the middle too.
I still haven't forgotten to show you the cross stitch that I did for my mother. Since we have figured out how to get a picture on here from my phone, you will soon see it!
Have a wonderful evening!!!

Blessings,

Daphne

I have been working to finish a cross stitch for my mother for Mother's Day. I can't wait to show you, after Mother's Day that is! There are so many projects that I want to work on. I would love to start a quilt soon, and finish a scrapbook that has needed finishing for a while now! Oh well, there is ALWAYS tomorrow! I am just so excited to have started my blog!!! Now I need to learn how to fix this blog up. Wish me well! See you soon!

Hello everyone! Today is the first day of the start of my blog. I can't wait to see how this grows (hopefully!) and to meet many new friends. I just need to figure out how to get around on this blog! I'm sure with time this will get easier, it better! I can't wait to share my days with you as I get a craft room put together, decorate, craft, and spend time with my family. Have a wonderful week!
